New York City Art 4 (set of 21 artworks) through the eyes of character: Mia Russo by Dr. Sukant Khurana.

Dr. Sukant Khurana has made art celebrating his love of NYC from the point of view of 1000 plus characters (to be put out over 2023 to 2025). These works are physical-digital-AI intersection works. This celebration of the Big Apple is also in the form of murals, large installations, and mixed media large purely physical artworks, which take hundreds of layers. The digital art series is being uploaded and sold as a whole set of each character at a mere $ 3.80, and is managed by Ms. Zeenat Firdaus. 

Mia was just married at the age of 20, not even having completed her undergraduate studies in history, to the love of her life. That brave soul was a firefighter, who didn't survive much after the horrible 9/11 attacks. Mia leaned back on her family in Huntington, Long Island, after completing undergraduate studies in history from Lehman College. She worked for a few years with the association of Italian Americans and worked on cataloguing Italian immigration, especially before the 1930s, when it became challenging. She regained her footing, got her masters from NYU after 5 years of break, and then after two years of masters, decided to take a plunge into the Ph.D. program at Columbia University. Life was rebuilding, and she fell in love again. Being a New York girl with Long Island values, she seemed a perfect fit for her fellow student Rocco Marino, who was a true Brooklyn academic. It was going too well, until Rocco started cheating. In her mid thirties, and emotionally distant, Mia has rediscovered art. She was always the best at sketching, and her history research notes even in graduate studies often had detailed hand drawn sketches. Now, distant from almost everything, she is at the crossroads of chasing academic drudgery with the incentive of few people from Ivy towers taking her seriously or going into the government sector or to help politicians with her acumen for research. In the daytime, she is trying to add quantitative skills. In the lockdown, she has done her postdoctoral research with some seriousness but taken data science courses, and painted the city she now calls home, with full passion. Her passion in art shows in the form of distant emotionscape of the Big Apple.
