Dr. Sukant Khurana has made art celebrating his love of NYC from the point of view of 1000 plus characters (to be put out over 2023 to 2025). These works are physical-digital-AI intersection works. This celebration of the Big Apple is also in the form of murals, large installations, and mixed media large purely physical artworks, which take hundreds of layers. The digital art series is being uploaded and sold as a whole set of each character at a mere $ 3.80, and is managed by Ms. Zeenat Firdaus.

HB is short for Hai Bing. Hai used to be a director of a prominent biology institute in China, who had moved with his second wife, and erstwhile Ph.D., student to Houston. He was almost blind in one eye, and in his 80s, was unsure of how long he lived but despite that used to visit the big apple, as often as possible. His son had done an undergraduate in computer sciences, then Ph.D. close to home at Baylor, and then moved for a failed postdoc at NYU, to eventually work for MasterCard as an analyst, while staying in Brooklyn. His son, who he thought was asexual or gay, as to have never been spotted near a girl, had surprised the family two years ago by marrying an annoying, extremely judgemental, and dominant girl from Hyderabad, India, who worked as an analyst, with his son Wen-ke. Hai Bing was a disciple of Mao and had fled China not out of love of America but because he was too red for the Deng Xiaoping era, and took up an associate position at Rice University in 1989, bringing with him several low-cost approaches to cytology. Hai Bing had become fed-up with jokes about his name, and preferred to be called HB. HB was a fan of impressionism, typing on a typewriter instead of ever taking up computers, and smoking cigars against the doctor's advice. HB was full of contradictions, and he knew he was wrong when he said that had Comrade Mao lived he would have transformed hundreds of Chinese cities into the Big Apple. The ones who were transforming China were his enemies bit ideologically, and also due to HB's ruthless term as director, where he had antagonized a lot of youngsters. He pined for the golden era of China, refusing to see much of its current shine, and used to paint his paintings, in what he considered the golden era of European paintings. He preferred impressionism because mostly his vision for the last several years was also a bit blurry. New York held a lot of magic for HB but after he found out that his daughter-in-law had named Wen and her kitten as Chairman Miao, HB was not sure if he would make any more trips to the Big Apple. He hated his bitch of a daughter-in-law more than he loved NYC.  He was now reconnecting with two kids from his first marriage, who were both older than his second wife. He was also missing Kunming, and Yunan but was too old to leave Houston and make peace with the current rulers of Kunming and China.
